Brilliant Tutorials’ students have secured the All India No. 1 rank 21 times in the last 27 years. In order to further their reputation in educational tutoring and give students a more innovative way to learn, they are launching a new distance learning system provided by Pengala LLC, a Microsoft derivative focused on building great distance education technology.

According to Adam Taylor, founder of Pengala, a group of engineering and business colleagues were sitting around a table talking about the challenges of scaling education as global populations increase. “We got into a heated debate about the power of technology as a tool to augment leaning professionals,” said Taylor. A few years later Pengala was born, offering students the most interactive learning platform to date.

Brilliant Tutorials, with Pengala, has focused on improving the following four areas of distance learning:

• Easy to install software: easy to download client, which installs on any Windows computer. Once installed, no internet connection is required.
• Great remediation: Pengala’s remediation engine shows students where they are doing well, where they have challenges, and very explicitly what they should do to improve their overall score and performance.
• Intelligent note taking: You can take a note, using your keyboard or stylus, and they are automatically saved in the exact place you were studying.
• Private expert tutor: Pengala allows private communication between student and professor within the Pengala application. There is no need for a separate email.

These features, coupled with the guarantee of a Brilliant experience, will all be offered from within the walls of the private schools that adopt them. That means students will not have to travel to and from coaching centers from home or after school.

We are familiar with your history and experience writing education-based stories for the New Indian Express and believe that our story would benefit your readers. The launch is going to mark a new era in distance learning and provide participants the opportunity to be on the cutting edge of new technology.

Conference Sponsorship Proposal Letter

The Public Relations Program
at Utah State University

November 23, 2009

To whom it may concern,

Utah State University’s Public Relations program (USUPR) and the USU chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America are hosting a nationally recognized regional Public Relations Conference on March 25 & 26, 2010, at the Riverwoods Conference Center in Logan, Utah. The conference theme, “putting the PR in professional” illustrates the focus of providing students and professionals with opportunities to learn how to adapt public relations practices to all industries of the professional world.

Students, professionals and the general public from the western United States will walk away from the conference with a knowledge of how their PR skills, when used properly, can set them above others in their field.

As this conference is a large undertaking, to make it the best we can we are proposing partnerships with organizations like yours. We are giving you the opportunity to be a part of this event and help support USUPR as well as the public relations field overall by becoming a sponsor. In return for your sponsorship we will place your business logo in several strategic locations and on printed materials during the conference (please refer to the sponsorship information enclosed for more details).

This partnership is an opportunity to be a part of an extraordinary event that will return dividends both to participants and sponsors.

Memorandum: Online Reputation

Memorandum

To: Travis Hansen

Subject: Managing Your Online Reputation

In a world where online communications are becoming the norm, it is important to manage our online reputations.  We spend time making sure our outer appearance and mannerisms are perfect for business engagements, we now must be just as meticulous in the way we conduct ourselves on the Internet.  When applying for a job we often provide prospective employers with email addresses, personal web addresses, and social media handles, we therefore need to make sure that those spaces portray us in a positive light.

I spent time researching you online in order to assess your online reputation, and found very little information on you.  The first links I found were for a professional basketball player (Travis Mitchell Hansen who grew up in Provo, Utah).

Once I did find sites mentioning you, I learned the following:
Name – Travis Craig Hansen
Born – In Ogden, Utah in 1986
Lived – In Utah, Arkansas, Tennessee, Northern Mississippi and Ohio
Relatives – Terrance C. Hansen
Graduated – Bear River High School in 2004
Currently attending – Utah State University
Likes – Sports, hunting, fishing, being in the outdoors, traveling, learning, thinking critically and receiving constructive criticism.
Current address – 858 North 700 East Apt. 12 Logan, Utah 84321.
Email – travishansen9@gmail.com
Extras – Wrote an article titled “A Sense of Belonging” for the Hard News Café in April 2009

All of the information was found on public domains, and therefore is open information to everyone.

If you decide you do not want some of the information to be public, feel free to contact me and I will provide you with the sources.

In order to fix the first problem of being overshadowed by a professional basketball player, I would suggest marketing yourself by your full name (or at the very least include a middle initial).  Also, increase your site optimization on websites you control, and be more active in posting and linking activities online.
